  • 4 tomatoes
  • 1 Mozzarella cheese
  • basil or oregano
  • salt and freshly ground


Slice the cheese into rounds and lay a slice of tomato on top of each, or lay in overlapping lines, alternating tomato and Mozzarella, on a dish. Sprinkle with fresh or dried basil or oregano. Serve straight away with oil, vinegar, salt and pepper.
