  • 1 level tablespoon vanilla sugar, or plain sugar and vanilla es

Method

Put the oven on the lowest possible heat. Take a saucepan and put in the milk, sugar, salt and lemon peel. Bring to the boil while you butter a one-pint pudding dish or pie dish. Turn the boiling milk and rice into the dish and leave it, uncovered, in your low, low oven for five hours.
