Method

Preheat the oven to Reg 7½/435°. Cream the egg and sugar together, add the softened butter, beat it in, mix in the milk and then add enough flour to make the mixture the consistency of pastry. Roll out to quarter-inch thickness on a floured board, cut into two-inch circles with a glass
