  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper


Melt butter in a small frying pan. Break 1 egg at a time into a cup; season with salt and freshly ground black pepper; slide eggs quickly into the sizzling butter and cook for 1 to 2 minutes, or until done as you like them. Lift out with a spatula or a perforated spoon; drain and serve immediately.
