Wash, zest and juice the limes.
Combine the sugar, vanilla sugar and lime juice in a bowl and stir until the sugar has dissolved. Add the evaporated milk.
Beat the mixture with an electric mixer for 20 minutes (it will become a creamy mousse). Mix in the lime zest.
Pour the mixture into a container and freeze for at least 3 hours.
