My book In Madeleine’s Kitchen includes a recipe for walnut wine prepared with Chartreuse. Here is another version, a bit more potent in walnut taste; you must use walnuts that show no trace of wood inside the green shell; the time for picking in France is usually around June 24, but it is at least three weeks earlier in California.
