Because the yeast isn’t added directly to the liquid, the temperature of the liquid can be higher which helps the bread rise a little faster. Make this recipe even simpler by using a heavy-duty mixer with a dough hook to knead the dough.

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup 2% milk
  • ¼ cup water
  • ½ cup

Method

Heat the milk and water to 120° to 130° F. Add butter. The butter does not need to melt completely.

Combine 2 cups flour, sugar, yeast and salt in the bowl of a heavy-duty mixer. Add the milk mixture and beat on medium speed unt
