  • About

Surprisingly these biscuits are not named after the village of Abernethy in Perthshire but have been attributed to Dr John Abernethy, a specialist in digestive health who invented these biscuits as an aid to the digestive system. It was one of many digestive biscuits that were invented at the time.

These little biscuits are really simple to make, and they’re perfect with a cup of tea. You can easily make them with gluten-free flour and non-dairy butter.
