These cookies really need no introduction, except to say that it’s probably a good idea to make a double batch. Keep the extra batch of rolled cookie dough in the freezer and whip it out when you suddenly and unexpectedly find your house overrun with hungry children or surprise visitors. Serve with a tall glass of icy milk or a short cup of espresso coffee.
