Adam Pepper is a super-pledger to Smart Tart, who wanted a tarty present for Sam. Adam wanted his surname somewhere in the mix, so I suggested cracked peppercorns in
the crust, which appealed. I favour white peppercorns, the best come from Sarawak, but please use black if you prefer.
Adam suggested some of Sam’s favourite ingredients, Iberico ham – for which you may substitute Prosciutto if you prefer – Gruyère and tomatoes.
