Beautifully prepared brisket isn’t hard. It just takes time and patience. My brother Johnny has years of brisket trial and error, and his method for smoked brisket is my favorite. His low and slow technique begins by baking the brisket in the oven, and then transferring it to a smoker.

The most tedious part of this recipe is keeping a watchful eye and maintaining your smoker temperature. Johnny discovered that by baking the brisket for 9 hours before placing it on the smoker it grea
