This may not be the brown sugar that Mick Jagger was singing about, but this gutsy, brown-sugar pound cake, with its moist, tender, slightly chewy crust, is just as delicious. It’s packed with so much flavor, it is easy to eat half the cake before you know what you are doing. It’s great on its own, but is also delicious as part of the Grilled Chocolate Pound-Cake Sandwiches. If you are using this pound cake as part of another recipe, eliminate the glaze.</
