This recipe is based on one from Anne Morrison, born and brought up in Ness, the town on the most northerly tip of Lewis. I spoke to her sister Marina Macdonald some years ago about her love for the local delicacy guga (baby gannet) and I recalled her telling me that it is the only time she ever drinks milk, when eating boiled guga and dry tatties.
