  • 80 g plain flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp


  1. Sift the dry ingredients into a bowl, then stir in the water to make a smooth but thick paste. Stir in the sweetcorn.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a frying pan. Once hot, drop in dollops of the batter and fry until golden on both sides. Add more oil for the second batch if the pan is looking dry. Serve hot.
