Striped bass is an ideal fish for baking with a robust pesto. Angel hair pasta topped with a light tomato sauce makes a delicious and colorful accompaniment.

Ingredients

  • 1 whole striped bass (½ pounds), cleaned
  • 1 cup Basil Pesto

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F
  2. Rinse and dry the fish thoroughly.
  3. Spread the pesto over the outside and the inside of the fish. Place the fish in a baking dish, arrange the lemon slices over the top, and sprinkle with the shallots.
