Much of the attraction of these fritters is their versatility. They are good eaten with meat dishes, or vegetables, or they can be eaten as pancakes with a sweet sauce. I like to eat them with dulce de leche, a delicious milk and sugar product seen everywhere in Argentina, but creatable in one’s own kitchen by boiling a tin of condensed milk for a couple of hours.
