The rice can be cooked in coconut milk as described for the Javanese Stuffed Rice Rolls. The Laotians, however, eat glutinous rice as their staple food, and one of their ways of cooking it is described here. This is without coconut milk.

Because the tofu is to be mashed, there is no need to press the water out of it; you can simply parcel it up in muslin or cheesecloth and give it a good squeeze.
