Ingredients

  • 2 lb mutton with bones in or goat meat (there had to be many bones, otherwise Amin threw a fit)
  • 2 oz flour

Method

  • Boil the meat in 4 pints of water with salt and vinegar.
  • Fry onions in fat until brown, stir in flour, and add this to the boiling meat together with chopped turnips.
  • Cook for two hours until the sauce is thick and the meat tender.
