Pike in Batter

Sandacz Smażony w Cieście


  • Pike fillets, seasoned

Batter made as follows

  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 1 ½ cups flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt


Mix and sift dry ingredients. Add milk gradually and well beaten egg. Mix until smooth and add butter. Wipe fillets dry, dip in batter and fry in hot fat or friture. Cook until well browned. Serve with prune compote or caper sauce.
