Fish Dumplings

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs. fish meat
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 eggs, scrambled
  • Flour
  • 2 slices dry bread
  • Milk to moisten bread
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 whole egg

Method

Skin fish, remove bones and chop meat fine. Add other ingredients except flour and mix thoroughly. Sprinkle flour on work table, place mixture on flour and with floured spoon shape into balls. Drop into salted boiling water. As soon as dumplings rise to the top, remove from water and serve with fish soup.
