Dairy Dishes: Honey


  • ½ cup butter
  • 2 teaspoon orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon grated orange rind
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
  • ½ cup walnuts
  • ½ cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon curacao liqueur
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice


Cream butter and work into it the remaining ingredients. Store in refrigerator until needed. Spread a generous amount of the honey-butter mixture in the center of each cooled cake and roll up neatly. Place in heat-proof dish. At serving time put them into a moderate oven for about 10 minutes, just long enough to heat the cakes and soften the butter mixture. Serve at once on warm plates.
