Almond Prunes

Śliwki Migdałowe


  • 2 lbs. large prunes
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 lb. blanched almonds
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • cup milk


Soak prunes in warm water over night. Cook and cool. Remove stones, fill cavity with almonds, and let drain for few hours. Make batter of remaining ingredients. Dip prunes in batter and fry in deep fat. Roll in powdered sugar or granulated sugar mixed with nutmeg.

Variations of fillings

Raisins soaked in cherry brandy, also orange peel.
