Pear Compote

Kompot z Gruszek


  • 6 pears
  • 2 cups water
  • 12 whole cloves
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 apple
  • 1 jigger white wine


Peel, core and cut pears in half. Insert one whole clove in each piece of fruit. Bring water and sugar to boiling point and add quartered apple. Add wine and pears and simmer until pears are tender.
