Apple Noodle Pudding

  • Egg noodles cut very thin
  • 3 tablespoon butter
  • 4 cups apple sauce
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ cup dry bread crumbs
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon


Make noodles, using 2 cups flour and 3 eggs. Cook in boiling salted water. Cool in colander under cold running water. Drain. Spread on a thin sheet and set in the oven to brown. Cook the apple sauce and make very sweet. Apple sauce should not be too thick. Mix noodles with eggs, cinnamon, butter and bread crumbs. In a buttered baking dish place alternate layers of noodle mixture and apples until all is used up. Sprinkle bread crumbs over the top and bake uncovered 25 minutes at 350°. Delicious with lemon sauce.
