Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups milk, scalded
  • 1 cup rice
  • 6 tablespoon sugar

Method

Wash rice in cold water, put in saucepan and cover well with water. Bring to a boil, turn off heat and let stand 5 minutes. Drain and bathe rice in cold water. Drain and return to pan and add milk, sugar, salt and vanilla. Bring to boiling point, add butter, cover pan and simmer very gently about half hour. (It is best to cook in double boiler about 45 minutes or until rice is done). Toss with
