Recipes for maple parfait can be found in a variety of vintage booklets, which surprised me, because maple syrup is not a common ingredient in the recipes in my collection. But there’s no question that maple parfait was a trendy dessert back in the day. It’s almost like a maple syrup pudding, but with no thickener or additional sugar. The only ingredients are maple syrup, egg yolks, heavy cream, and finely chopped pecans. Here, I repurposed a recipe from Auto Vacuum:
