When I think of Cuernavaca, I think of markets. It’s a small place, but it has mountains and valleys. You can find avocados, pears, moras (blackberries). You drive an hour and there’s mangoes, papayas; tropical climate. That’s what I loved about that place. Rivers. Ojos de agua (swimming holes). Where we are from there was an ojo de agua, with big trees all around it. The smell of fresh corn.
