  • About

Coconuts are the fruits of a type of palm tree. The “nut“ is composed of a woody brown outer shell covered with hairy fibers surrounding a layer of rich white nutmeat. Coconuts are sold whole, and coconut meat is sold shredded or in flakes (sweetened or unsweetened), frozen, or dried (desiccated). Coconut milk, coconut cream, coconut oil, and other coconut-based products are also available.
