To roast beets

Wrap the beets individually in aluminum foil, place in a roasting pan, and roast in a preheated 375°F (190°C) oven for about 1 hour, until the beets can be easily pierced with a thin knife. Cool slightly and use your fingers or a paper towel to remove the skins.
