  • About
Like other members of the melon family — cucumber, squash and zucchini — melons grow along the ground. Varieties abound, so there’s nearly always one in season. Watermelons, however, are not true melons, they just share the same name.
If storing cut melon in the fridge, wrap it well or its strong smell may flavour other foods that are stored there. Melons are best served at room temperature, so remove them from the fridge about 30 minutes before you are ready to serve.
