I use a Thermomix in my kitchen, not the cheapest bit of kit, but very powerful and versatile, and ideal for Praline Paste. Good cookshops will have a wide selection; my advice is to buy something sturdy. I also like to use hand blenders in my kitchen: they are easy to use and clean.
