  • About
Puerto Rico is one in a chain of islands called the West Indies. Within this island group, Cuba, Jamaica, Hispaniola (Dominican Republic and Haiti), and Puerto Rico together are known as the Greater Antilles. Puerto Rico, the easternmost and smallest of this group, lies 1,050 miles from the tip of Florida and 1,600 miles from New York. On the north it is bounded by the Atlantic Ocean and on the south by the Caribbean.
