  • About
Scones, griddlecakes (pancakes), muffins, cornbread, and graham crackers are just a few of the traditional breads, cakes, and biscuits in Scottish American cuisine. Scottish bread, teacakes, shortbread, fruitcakes, and fruit pastries are also popular and are usually served with honey, marmalade, or butter, for afternoon tea. Shortbread is a symbol of hospitality and is commonly served during the holidays for family gatherings.
