  • About

Anyone who has neither the time nor facilities for making wafers can buy them from Romary, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England. This firm was established in 1862 and makes these delicate and delicious English wafers from old English recipes. They have lately acquired Freeman’s Norwich Hollow Biscuits. This firm has made biscuits ‘By Appointment’ for Queen Victoria, King Edward VII, and now makes them for His Majesty King George V.

There are Ginger wafers, Royal wafers, water biscuits, Old English stone-ground wheaten wafer biscuits, etc., all unique and delicate eating, quite different from the ordinary biscuits however good; and distinctively English.
