  • About

These were a Bath delicacy made at one time by Mr. Fisher, but he gave up business and sold the remains of his stock and equipment to Mr. Taylor, of the Red House Restaurant, Bond Street, Bath; and Mr. Taylor gave the wooden moulds to Mr. John Hatton, Director of the Spa, for the Pump Room Museum, where they can now be seen.

Some were courteously made, and gilded by Mr. Taylor especially for the First English Folk Cookery Exhibition 1931. At this Exhibition Lady Gomme also showed some wooden moulds for moulding gingerbread and other cakes that she had bought at Lewes in Sussex.
