Buying Look for large, firm, pale green bulbs with bright green fronds.

Storing Refrigerate in a plastic bag in the crisper for up to 5 days.

Prep tip When slicing a fennel bulb, first remove the stalks and fronds, then slice the bulb in half vertically and remove the hard core.

Using Slice and add to salads; grill or braise and serve as a side dish.
