  • About

Includes almonds, cashews, peanuts, pecans, pistachios, walnuts

Buying Buy packaged nuts, or buy in bulk from a store that has a good product turnover. Experiment with different types of all-natural nut butters beyond peanut butter, including almond, walnut, and cashew butter.

Storing Some nuts are more perishable than others, but as a general rule, store nuts in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to 6 months, or in the refrigerator for up to 1 year.

Prep tip Don’t skip the step of toasting nuts. It brings out their oils and flavors and usually takes less than 10 minutes.
