Buying Choose firm pomegranates that are heavy for their size; avoid bruised or shriveled fruits.

Storing If needed, let ripen at room temperature for 2โ€“3 weeks; refrigerate ripe pomegranates for up to 1 month. Pomegranate seeds can be frozen for up to 3 months.
