Some of the recipes can be cooked directly from frozen which saves the hassle of defrosting. Timings can fluctuate depending on the size and depth of the dish that you are using, so ensure the food is piping hot throughout before serving.
As a rule, you should never cook meat from frozen in the slow cooker as the temperature will not get high enough for long enough to cook the meat safely. Therefore the only slow cooker recipe which can be cooked from frozen is Chunky Vegetable Soup.
