  • About

Some formerly strange varieties have now joined ordinary mushrooms in being available year round in supermarkets from British and European cultivation. Others are distinctly seasonal and available from only specialist greengrocers. Some can be picked wild in this country but these are mostly left to the private enthusiast – another native food resource ignored by the trade. Even slight errors in identification can be fatal.
