REMARKS Maximum length 60 cm. Note the shape, the stripes and the snout. This last feature accounts for the official English name, sharp snout sea bream, and for several of the vernacular names, such as mouré pountchou (Marseille), mourre agut (Nice) and an alternative Spanish picudo. In Bulgarian it is called morska hiena (sea hyena)
