Guayaba, guava (Psidium Guajava)

The round or pear-shaped fruit of the guava tree, which grows abundantly in tropical countries. The slightly acid flesh is enclosed by a yellowish-red thin skin. The fruit makes delicious jams, jellies, and preserves. It is also eaten raw; very high in vitamin C.
