  • About

Fyne Ales is a family-owned farm brewery situated on Achadunan Estate in a lush steepsided glen at the head of Loch Fyne in Argyll. The 4,500-acre estate has been farmed by six generations of the same family but the brewery has only been established since 2001. For Jamie Delap, the managing director and owner of the estate, the brewery isn’t just about beer, it’s about bringing life back into the glen and the community – jobs and good cheer!

Fyne Ales began life as a micro-brewery in converted dairy buildings when Jamie’s parents retired to Achadunan Estate where his mother had been brought up as a child – it was her cousin, Johnny Noble, who set up Loch Fyne Oysters just along the road – and when his father died, Jamie took over the estate and expanded the brewery in a redeveloped sheep barn where the company now produces over 3 million pints a year and distributes all over the UK, US, Italy and Japan.
