Summer’s Ripe Berries

Summer’s sweet berry season is all too brief. At the very first sign, head to the nearest berry patch or farm stand and claim your share, for nothing beats local sweet berries just hours off the vine. Raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, strawberries—we fight the brambles and thorns to pick our own, brush away the soil, and eat them as we pick—two for us and one for the pail! Whatever your methods, celebrate these fragile fruits with a little cream here, a dash of Grand Marnier there.
