  • About
A French aperitif that originated in the nineteenth century, it consists of unfermented grape juice (mistelle), wine, botanicals, and spices that are aged in oak barrels. It’s similar to sweet vermouth but with added notes of strawberry and bitter quinine. If you’re in doubt of how to pronounce it, just say “beer.”
