Golden zucchini, which has many other names, is a spectacularly beautiful squash and, thus far, seems to have more flavor than the green market types. The ravishing skin (which unlike the skin of most other yellow squash is “born” that color; it does not start out green) retains its color when cooked; the flavor is fresh, light, buttery, and simple.
