Baby squash or mini-squash can be any squash harvested when very young. The tiny infants are always glowingly pretty—like old-fashioned hard candies or pottery beads. Sometimes they taste good, too; sometimes they have barely any taste. Sample before you buy a large amount. They always look irresistibly cute, so you might add them to a toss of mixed miniatures even if they’re rather insipid.
