  • About
We don’t generally include garlic in the veg boxes, though we occasionally add a bulb as a free item, and you will also occasionally see immature ‘wet’ garlic, as well as a free hit of wild garlic, in spring boxes.
After years of struggling to grow garlic in our damp Devon climate we have given up; half our crop is grown on our farm near Peterborough and the rest on our farm in the French Vendée. Cloves are planted in November and the harvest starts in April with fresh or ‘wet’ garlic; the first bulbs are fully dry in August.
