Cookies are where my love for baking blossomed. A fresh chocolate chip cookie right out of the oven feels like a warm hug and therefore, they were the first baked good I perfected.

Cookies come in an infinite number of varieties, and because of this, there are not as many cut-and-dried base recipes as there are with quick breads. Many cookie recipes are singular in their use. However, the mixing methods are pretty straightforward, and you will be able to carry them over to use with your favorite recipes.
