Who’s Darren?

Darren Purchese is a sweet man with a savoury side. His Sweet Studio in Melbourne, Australia, is a mecca for dessert lovers and he is known for his devilishly hard dessert challenges on TV’s global smash Masterchef Australia. What you might not know is that Darren started out as a savoury chef and he especially loves cooking breakfast! Being a pastry chef, he’s used to early mornings and this gives him time to indulge in one of his favourite meals of the day, brekkie. Darren shows us perfect eggs, amazing combinations, the ultimate breakfasts from around the world and, of course, some sweet starts to the day with his Bressert section. There is absolutely no truth to any of the rumours that he has stolen all of his wife’s, respected chef Cath Claringbold, recipes. They just happen to be similar.
